Saint-Truiden has a rich history and is situated in the heart of the region in Haspengouw that’s known for its fruit production. There are many hiking and cycling routes through the town and its environment, along the historical sights or through the flourishing nature. Limburg is very famous for its many hiking and cycling paths. Spoil yourself with a real spring treat and enjoy the extensive blossom during April in Saint-Truiden. In fact, you can attend blossom parties and various other festive occasions in the period from the end of April to the beginning of May. From April till September there are guided tours round the monuments on Sundays and bank holidays. On Monday evenings there are some guided hiking or cycling tours. From July to August there are midweek parties every Wednesday and live performances in the centre. From November till December children can visit Saint Nicholas’ (Sinterklaas) home for free.
